The Shimano XT crankset is the very heart of the M780 10 speed 3x10 system. The proven Hollowtech II design is reliable, stiff and a snap to set up, remove and service. The HG-X chainrings are profiled and feature ramps and pins for telepathic-like shifting. Special attention to detail on the chainrings include anodizing and machining as well as small drillings on the middle ring to shave a few grams. They will stand up to plenty of abuse and are mounted to the crank spider via black alloy Torx bolts.

The triple set up is a good choice for all mountain riding and all day treks on challenging (read: steep) terrain. The 24/32/42T combination is considered industry standard for a contemporary mountain triple. The black satin finish cleans up well and looks fantastic on any frameset. Crank includes a Hollowtech II bottom bracket.
