It's hard to believe that Shimano has found room to improve on what many consider the best trigger on the market, but they did. Improvements over the original XT 10 speed shifters include a lower profile, smaller package with XTR-like internals. Shifting is smoother and more consistent up and down the gear range. The lower shift paddle is larger than before making up shifts that much easier. Cable adjusting barrels are mounted to the end of the shifters for on the fly fine tuning. The multi-angle lever action has a proven ergonomic design for a seamless rider/bike interface. As with the XTR and all Shimano trigger shifters, the upper lever shifts both ways - a simple and easy way of making this design one of the best trigger shifters on the market.

As with all XT products performance vs. the price paid is hard, if not impossible to beat. Kit includes front and rear shifters, cables, housing, end caps and ferrules.
