It is not secret that Stan's NoTubes makes Schwalbe's Doc Blue Tire Sealant. Yet the formula and additives are slightly different, as Schwalbe was looking for optimal performance with their rubber compounds and tire designs. The Doc Blue Pro Tire Sealant appears to retain it's liquidity longer, offering readily available fluid to seal new punctures. It certainly assists in initial tire installation and set-up, as well as sealing smaller holes or more porous rubber pretty quickly. Due to climate and temperature variations, Schwalbe claims a wide range- from 2-7 months that the sealant remains in a liquid form. Harsher, drier conditions will keep you on the shorter side, but even when it dries, it leaves a thin film layer of protection that seals minor punctures. You can add more liquid as well, and Schwalbe says you can reuse sealant from a tire- such as you get when you have to replace or change a tire with liquid still in it. We find Doc Blue Pro is great for smaller punctures and set-up, has no harsh chemical reactions, and like virtually all other sealants should not be mixed with other brands.

Sold here in the 60ml size, the bottle is about 2oz, or what is recommended for tires used every day. For your race wheels and tires, 1oz keeps the rotational weight down without too much sacrifice in protection. Doc Blue Pro works well in most tubeless tire set-ups and in tubes with a removable valve core. The longer liquid state generally is beneficial in tubes over sealants that dry out faster.
