The XG-1080 10 Speed Cassette from SRAM was developed to be the perfect cassette for an XO drivetrain. The 11-36t XG-1080 is the ideal ratio for that 10-speed mountain drivetrain. At under 240g, it's actually really lightweight, but that's just the appetizer. The XG-1080 uses a hybrid construction that allows SRAM to make this cassette without a spider, similar to the XX series XG-1099. The XG-1080 cogs are individually made with 4130 chromoly steel, helping achieve high performance, great durability and low weight, so you get everything you want, including bang for your buck. The 36T cog is a single unit, machined from 7075-T6 aluminum. It holds up great under stress and while it may not wear quite as well as the steel cogs, you really shoudn't be riding there all the time!

The tooth profile of the XG-1080 features SRAM's X-Glide technology, which increases efficiency whether upshifting or downshifting, under any load.
