The Arundel Gecko Grip uses EVA foam and ventilated polyurethane in a laminated construction to create a handlebar tape with a rubbery, tacky feel. Unlike cork tape that absorbs sweat and moisture, the polyurethane surface sheds water and wipes clean with a damp cloth in seconds. The tape retains its grip when wet, making it a solid choice for spring and summer riding or any conditions where you want consistent traction between your hands and the bars.

The tape measures 30mm wide and wraps to roughly 3mm thickness on the bars. This gives you enough width to dress flared drops or wider gravel bars with room for double wrapping at key contact points without resorting to brake clamp cover strips. The material lays flat as you wrap and stays thinner than traditional cork, which helps you avoid those thick spots that can happen when sections overlap. An adhesive backing holds the tape in place during installation, though you'll want to maintain tension as you wrap since the grippy surface naturally wants to twist more than smoother tapes.

Each set includes two rolls at 2200mm length plus plastic bar end plugs. That's enough tape to handle standard road bars or many of the wider gravel handlebars currently popular. The slight indentations in the surface create texture channels that allow water and sweat to run off the tape rather than pooling between your palms and the bars. When the tape gets dirty from road grime or mud, the polyurethane construction cleans up with soap and water. If you need to rewrap the bars to replace a cable or add components, the tape removes and reinstalls without degrading.
