Description

Flat mount disc brake standards simplified caliper installation across the industry, but they also introduced a variable that catches builders off guard: mounting screw length depends entirely on your frame's chainstay thickness at the caliper mount. The Campagnolo Disc Brake Caliper Mounting Screws come in six lengths specifically because frame manufacturers use different tube profiles and wall thicknesses in that area, and using the wrong length means either bottoming out before the caliper is secure or running out of thread engagement before you've properly torqued the bolts. Neither situation ends well when you're relying on those screws to keep your brake caliper attached during hard stops.

Measuring your frame determines which length you need. Take the thickness of the mounting boss where the caliper bolts thread in, add 5-9mm for proper thread engagement and caliper interface, and that gives you the total screw length to order. The 19mm screws work with mount thicknesses between 10-14mm, the 24mm version covers 15-19mm, 29mm handles 20-24mm, 34mm fits 25-29mm, 39mm accommodates 30-34mm, and the longest 44mm option works with 35-39mm mounting surfaces. If you're between sizes, go with the longer option—you want full thread engagement rather than the minimum.

Each set includes two screws plus washers, which is exactly what you need for mounting a single rear flat mount caliper. Front calipers on most frames use a different mounting system that doesn't require these specific screws. The black finish matches Campagnolo's disc brake aesthetic, and the steel construction handles the clamping forces that keep your caliper positioned precisely relative to the rotor. These screws work across Campagnolo's flat mount caliper lineup including Super Record 13, Super Record Wireless, Record, Chorus, and Ekar systems.
