This modular system means you replace only the plastic body as it wears while the steel hooks typically last for years. The PD-RE020 model provides four degrees of rotational float, while the PD-RE021 fixed version offers zero float for riders who prefer a locked-in position.

The cleats work with all Campagnolo Pro-Fit pedals including Record, Chorus, Centaur, and Veloce models. Despite using the same three-bolt mounting pattern as Look cleats, Pro-Fit cleats are not interchangeable with Look or other three-bolt systems due to the different engagement mechanism. The steel hooks mount inside the plastic cleat body and engage a spring at the rear of the pedal, which creates a secure connection with adjustable release tension. When you replace worn cleats, you typically reuse the existing hooks from your old cleats unless you're setting up a new pair of shoes.

The replacement cleat kit includes two plastic cleat bodies, one short mounting bolt, one long mounting bolt, one oval washer, two rubber contact pads, and two adhesive anti-slip backings. The kit does not include the metal engaging hooks, which are sold separately as part number PD-RE200. If you're installing cleats on new shoes for the first time, you'll need both the cleat bodies and the hook hardware kit. The plastic cleat bodies typically require replacement each season depending on mileage and how much walking you do in your cycling shoes, while the steel hooks rarely need replacement.
