Description

Building a Record 13 crankset from the ground up — or rebuilding one after a crash, a frame change, or a bottom bracket swap — starts with the arms. This is the Record 13 carbon crank arm set: left and right arms only, no chainrings, no bottom bracket. It's the structural foundation, and the rest of the crankset gets specced around it based on your gearing and frame standard.

Record 13 sits one tier below Super Record 13 in Campagnolo's hierarchy, but the platform is shared. Same Ultra-Torque interface, same four-arm asymmetric spider, same chainring compatibility. The arms accept both Record 13 and Super Record 13 chainring sets interchangeably, which matters more than it might sound — if you're piecing a drivetrain together from mixed-tier parts, or upgrading chainrings later, you're not locked into a single tier. Buy the arms once, choose chainrings based on what's available and what fits your gearing.

Ultra-Torque is Campagnolo's signature crankset architecture and it's worth understanding before you order. The spindle is split in half, with each crankarm carrying its own half-axle that meets in the middle of the bottom bracket shell and joins via a Hirth coupling secured by a single center bolt. The bearings sit outside the BB shell where they run larger and seal better, and installation is refreshingly direct — slide each arm in from its respective side, thread the center bolt, torque to spec with a standard Campagnolo wrench. No press-fit anxiety, no proprietary extraction tools to track down.... Read More
