Description
Brake pad compound determines how much friction you generate against aluminum rims, and Campagnolo formulates the BR-SR500 with a universal compound that balances initial bite with controlled modulation. The pads work across temperature ranges without the grabby feel that makes descending sketchy or the fade that happens when lower-grade compounds overheat. These are replacement inserts only—you're swapping out the worn rubber while keeping your existing brake shoe holders in place.
The BR-SR500 fits Campagnolo brake calipers from 2015 forward across Super Record, Record, and Chorus groupsets, plus the 2015-2016 TT brake calipers and Direct Mount models. The pads feature a cutout for the retention spring clip used in brake shoes from approximately 2011 onward, which means they click securely into modern Campagnolo cartridge holders. The pads are directional and marked left and right, so you install them on the correct side for proper wear patterns and braking performance.
Installation takes a few minutes per wheel. Lift the retention spring clip on the back of the brake shoe holder with a small flat-blade screwdriver, slide the old pad out toward the rear, then push the new pad in until the retention clip snaps into place. A thin film of soapy water on both the pad and holder reduces friction during installation. The four-piece set handles both front and rear wheels with one pair per caliper.... Read More
