Description
Stainless steel derailleur cables resist corrosion from sweat and road spray, which matters if you ride in wet conditions or store bikes in humid environments. This cable measures 1.2mm in diameter and two thousand millimeters in length, which gives you enough length to route through Campagnolo Ergopower shifters and work with frames that have internal cable routing. The stainless construction holds up to the friction generated at cable housing entry points and maintains consistent shifting performance longer than galvanized steel cables that develop surface rust.
The cable works across all Campagnolo Ergopower shifter generations and drivetrain speeds—ten-speed, eleven-speed, twelve-speed, and thirteen-speed systems use the same 1.2mm cable diameter. When you install a fresh cable and tension the derailleur correctly, the cable stays at that tension without the stretch-induced index drift you get from cables that haven't been pre-stressed during manufacturing. This means fewer mid-ride adjustments after the initial installation settles in.
The cable end fits the Campagnolo shifter cable anchor interface, which differs slightly from Shimano and SRAM cable head designs. If the cable breaks at the shifter anchor—the most common failure point due to repeated flexing during shifts—removal requires accessing the shifter mechanism from inside the hood. Replacing cables before they fray prevents that repair headache.
