Aluminum chainrings wear from chain contact, and when you start feeling rough shifts or seeing hook-shaped wear patterns on the teeth, you need a replacement. The Campagnolo Super Record 52-tooth outer chainring bolts to the four-arm spider on Super Record 12-speed cranksets using a 145mm bolt circle diameter. This BCD is specific to Super Record outer rings and won't interchange with Record cranksets, though both groups share the same 112mm bolt circle for inner rings.
