This is the replacement front derailleur battery for Campagnolo's WRL wireless groups. Important distinction up front: while the battery cell itself is shared across the 12-speed and 13-speed WRL ecosystem — Super Record Wireless, Super Record 13, and Record 13 — the front and rear derailleur batteries are NOT interchangeable between positions. This is the front-specific unit, keyed and packaged for the front derailleur only. If you need a rear, order the rear SKU.

Each derailleur in the WRL ecosystem carries its own battery rather than running off a centralized unit, which is the architecture Campagnolo committed to when they went fully wireless. The upside is no internal frame routing for power and no central battery to fail and take down the whole group — if a battery dies, only that derailleur stops shifting, and you swap the unit trailside in under a minute. The trade-off is two batteries to monitor instead of one, which the MyCampy app and the LED indicators on the derailleurs handle for you. The battery snaps into the front derailleur body with a quarter-turn lock and is keyed to its position. No tools needed for the swap. Charging happens off the derailleur using Campagnolo's WRL charging dock (sold separately), which lets you charge without pulling the derailleur off the bike — pop the battery out, drop it in the dock, plug in USB-C.
