Description
Removable levers let you choose how you operate your thru-axles. The Cervelo Aero Thru-Axle ships with a detachable lever that threads into the axle head, giving you tool-free wheel changes when you want quick access and a clean, lever-free profile when aerodynamics matter. Pop the lever off, stash it in a jersey pocket or saddlebag, and run the axle flush with the frame. When it's time to swap wheels, thread the lever back in and operate it by hand.
This axle fits all disc brake equipped Cervelo frames from 2016 to the present, covering the full range of road, gravel, triathlon, and cyclocross models. The front version measures 127mm with M12x1.5mm threading for 12x100mm hub spacing, while the rear runs 170.5mm with the same thread pitch for 12x142mm spacing. When you remove the lever, a 6mm hex key handles installation and removal. The lever itself threads securely into the axle head and stays put during rides, so there's no concern about it loosening or rattling free.
If you've lost a lever or want spares for multiple wheelsets, Cervelo sells the removable handle separately. That's useful if you keep one lever on your race wheels and another on training wheels, avoiding the fumble of transferring a single lever between setups. The axle body accepts standard torque specs outlined in Cervelo's product manuals, so there's no guesswork on how tight to run it.... Read More
