Empty bottle cage bosses leave threaded holes exposed to road spray, mud, and whatever else you're riding through. The CVR-WB cover plate presses into a pair of bosses to seal and smooth over mounting points when you're not running a cage or accessory bag. For Aspero and Caledonia riders using frame bags or hydration packs instead of traditional bottles, this cleans up the frame appearance and keeps debris out of the threads. On the P5 and P-Series triathlon platforms, it maintains the aero profile when the top tube or seatpost mount goes unused.

Installation takes about three seconds—align the composite plate over the two boss holes and push until it snaps into place. The retention tabs grip the inside edge of the threaded inserts, so there's no hardware to fuss with and nothing to torque. Removal is equally simple: pry gently from one edge and it pops free. If you swap between race-day setups and training configurations, the cover goes on and off without tools. The composite construction matches the small parts aesthetic across Cervelo's current lineup, and the plate dimensions are sized specifically for the boss spacing on the P5 Disc, P-Series, Aspero, and Caledonia frames. Generic bottle boss covers from other manufacturers may work on standard 64mm spacing, but the fit and retention won't be as clean as the Cervelo-specific part.
