Description
Cervelo designed the SP27 Carbon Seatpost as the direct-fit replacement for the Soloist, matching the frame's D-shaped seat tube profile to maintain the aerodynamic continuity the bike was built around. The 15mm offset positions the saddle rearward of the seatpost centerline, which works for riders who need additional setback to achieve their preferred hip angle or knee-over-pedal position. If you're replacing a damaged stock post or building up a Soloist frameset, this is the part that fits without modification.
The carbon layup delivers stiffness where it matters for power transfer while the material itself absorbs some high-frequency road vibration that an aluminum post would transmit directly to the saddle. At 370mm in length, there's enough post for most fit scenarios, and you can trim it down if your frame size leaves excessive insertion depth. The integrated clamp head accepts both standard 7mm round rails and carbon oval rails, so you're not locked into alloy-railed saddles if you want to run a carbon-railed option down the road.
Installation follows standard proprietary seatpost practices: carbon assembly paste on the post surface, careful attention to the frame's torque specification at the seat collar, and enough insertion depth to clear the minimum line. The clamp head uses two bolts for tilt adjustment, giving you the range to dial saddle angle without fighting a single-bolt design that binds up when you're trying to level a new saddle.... Read More
