Description
Mechanical shifting with hydraulic disc brakes remains a popular combination for gravel and all-road riding—the tactile feedback of cable-actuated derailleurs paired with the modulation and power of hydraulic stoppers. The CBS-2DT112M2 is the downtube cable stop assembly that makes this combination work on the Aspero and Caledonia platforms, providing dedicated housing stops for the front and rear shift cables while routing the hydraulic brake hose through to the frame interior.
The design clips into the downtube access port and handles three separate lines: front derailleur housing, rear derailleur housing, and hydraulic brake hose. Each shift cable housing terminates at a molded stop within the guide, transitioning to bare inner wire that continues through the frame to the derailleurs. The hydraulic hose passes straight through without interruption, maintaining a sealed system from lever to caliper. A snap-in cover plugs the opening once everything is routed, keeping road spray and debris out of the frame cavity.
If you're building up an Aspero or Caledonia frameset with a mechanical groupset like Shimano GRX or SRAM Rival, this is the part that handles cable management at the downtube entry point.
