Description
Triathlon and time trial fit is personal, sometimes maddeningly so. The Cervelo P-Series Ultegra Di2 addresses this reality head-on with a platform designed around adaptability rather than a single aggressive position. The fork uses a D-shaped steerer tube paired with a round stem interface, which means any standard basebar and extension combination can mount directly without proprietary adapters. If your fit evolves mid-season or you inherit a position from a fitter who thinks differently than the last one, the P-Series accommodates the change without forcing a component overhaul. Maximum stack reaches 53mm with included spacers, and the geometry offers effective seat tube angles from 75 to 79 degrees through saddle rail adjustment.
The frame shares its aerodynamic DNA with Cervelo's flagship P5, benefiting from the wind tunnel development and WorldTour racing that shaped that platform. Tube profiles are optimized for reduced drag within UCI-legal dimensions, and the current chassis is 5.9 grams faster than its predecessor in drag terms. That frame improvement compounds when paired with a Reserve carbon wheelset and 29mm Vittoria tires, a combination Cervelo claims saves roughly 3.5 watts compared to the previous wheel and tire package. Wider tire clearance up to 34mm actual width also contributes to lower rolling resistance and improved comfort over long-course distances, and the BBright bottom bracket shell adds frame stiffness around the cranks where pedaling forces concentrate.
Shimano's Ultegra R8150 Di2 12-speed drivetrain handles shifting duties with the precision that has made electronic Shimano systems a default choice for athletes who want reliable performance without constant adjustment. The Ultegra R8100 crankset runs 52/36T chainrings paired with an 11-30T cassette and a 12-speed M8100 chain, providing gearing suited to flat time trial courses and rolling triathlon legs alike. Di2 bar-end shifters mount at the basebar with auxiliary shift buttons at the aerobar extension tips, so you can change gears from either hand position without leaving the aero tuck. Hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors handle stopping duties, providing fade-free control through technical descents and into crowded transition areas regardless of weather.... Read More
