Description
Dialing in an aggressive triathlon position requires more adjustment range than a road seatpost can provide. The Cervelo P5 Seatpost delivers effective seat tube angles from 75° to 79° through its sliding clamp system, letting you position the saddle anywhere within that range without shims or offset changes. That four-degree window covers everything from a relatively relaxed long-course setup to a steep time trial position, all on the same post.
The aero profile matches the P5's seat tube shape and integrates with the frame's rear bottle mount system. If you're running hydration behind the saddle, the mount attaches directly to the seatpost rather than clamping around it. The post arrives at 350mm and can be cut shorter if your saddle height requires less length. Minimum insertion sits at 65mm, so mark that line before trimming and leave yourself enough post in the frame for a secure clamp.
A Ritchey single-bolt saddle clamp comes installed, sized for standard 7x7mm alloy saddle rails. The single-bolt design simplifies tilt adjustment since you're only dealing with one fastener rather than fighting two bolts against each other. If you're running a saddle with carbon rails, Cervelo offers a separate clamp head designed for those dimensions. The post also accepts a Di2 battery mount internally, keeping the battery hidden and the exterior clean.... Read More
