Description

Performance e-bikes often announce themselves with bulky motor housings and conspicuous battery packs that disrupt frame lines refined over decades of aerodynamic development. The Cervelo Rouvida GRX RX610 refuses that compromise. Designed from the outset around the Fazua Ride60 drive system, the carbon frame integrates motor, battery, and controls into a silhouette that reads as unmistakably Cervelo rather than reluctantly electrified. Reorienting the battery from its standard mounting position reduced aerodynamic drag measurably in wind tunnel testing, while relocating the speed sensor preserved the clean appearance that distinguishes the brand's road and gravel machines.

The Fazua Ride60 delivers 60Nm of torque and 450 watts of peak power, providing pedal assistance up to 28mph. This Class 3 classification puts professional peloton speeds within reach on road sections and opens up gravel routes that might otherwise demand unrealistic fitness or time commitments. The 430Wh battery charges fully in 3.5 hours, and the drive unit has earned recognition for blending seamlessly with pedaling input rather than overriding it. The assistance feels additive rather than intrusive, maintaining the direct connection between effort and speed that defines a traditional riding experience while extending the range of what a single ride can accomplish.

Interchangeable dropouts transform the Rouvida from a gravel bike into a road bike or vice versa. Unlike typical flip-chip adjustments that make minor geometry tweaks, these dropouts effectively rotate the entire frame to deliver distinct handling characteristics for each configuration. The gravel setup ships with this build, featuring a slacker head tube angle, increased stack height, shorter reach, and clearance for tires up to 43mm. Purchasing road dropouts from a retailer converts the geometry to match Cervelo's road bike handling expectations, with clearance for up to 34mm rubber. Swapping configurations requires a firmware update performed by an authorized dealer to recalibrate the torque curve and speed calculations for the new geometry.... Read More
