Description
Not every build needs a carbon stem, and the Cervelo ST32 Alloy Stem provides the same proprietary C-shaped steerer interface as the carbon ST31 at less than half the price. Aluminum construction handles the torque loads that stems experience without the weight penalty you might expect—the ST32 comes in at the same 210 grams as its carbon sibling at the 100mm length. If you're building up an Aspero-5, Caledonia-5, R5, R5-CX, Aspero, or Soloist frame, this stem maintains the integrated aesthetic while keeping budget available for components where material choice makes a bigger performance difference.
The stem shares the ST31's functional design: a two-bolt steerer clamp that works with Cervelo's split spacer system, a four-bolt faceplate for 31.8mm handlebars, and internal routing that passes Di2 wires and hydraulic hoses from the bar face into the steerer tube. The rear section carries the same tapered profile that matches the aerodynamic lines of the fork and frame. An integrated top cap seals off the steerer opening to prevent wind catching at the stem junction.
An 8-degree drop angle positions handlebars slightly below the stem clamp, consistent with the geometry on the carbon version. Seven length options run from 70mm through 130mm in 10mm increments, giving you one additional short option compared to the ST31 for riders who need a more upright position. The satin black finish with dark grey stripe blends with both frame colorways without calling attention to itself.... Read More
