The updated Pro Series TLR tires from Challenge are handmade, and features the super supple Open Tubular (clincher) 260 tpi Super Poly Corraza Armor casing. Challenge refers to this Getaway as an "Open Tubular" TLR model. Yes this make it a little confusing, but what they really mean is the 260tpi handmade casing it built to be supple - like a tubular. This gives the tire an ability to roll over pavement, rough surfaces and small rocks for a smooth, comfortable and fast ride. The PPS2 protection belt helps to prevent punctures, matching the supple nature of the casing, while the Corraza Armor casing adds sidewall abrasion resistance, which is crucial at lower pressures over rougher surfaces.
