Description
Brass construction handles the wear that comes from ground contact and repeated engagement cycles. The Crank Brothers Premium Cleats use premium-strength brass rather than softer composite materials, which extends replacement intervals when you're putting your foot down on technical terrain or walking through sections you can't ride. The brass body also provides crisp engagement with the pedal's four-sided clip mechanism.
These cleats give you two float options depending on how you prefer your foot to move while clipped in. The 6-degree float version lets your heel rotate naturally during the pedal stroke, which reduces knee strain on longer rides. The 0-degree float version locks your foot position for direct power transfer, which cross-country racers use when they want maximum pedaling efficiency. Both versions use the same 15-degree release angle, which sits between the easier 10-degree Easy Release cleats and older 20-degree options.
The 2-hole mounting pattern works with any mountain bike or gravel shoe that has the recessed cleat box, and the kit includes plastic spacing shims for fine-tuning the shoe-to-pedal interface. You get 2.2mm of left-right adjustment once mounted, which gives you room to dial in cleat position without having to drill new holes or return the shoes. The cleats work with every Crank Brothers clip-in pedal—Eggbeater, Candy, Mallet, and Double Shot models all use the same interface.... Read More
