Crank Brothers M19 Multi-Tool

Nineteen functions in a package that measures 89mm long and 45mm wide tells you where Crank Brothers put the priorities on the M19 multi-tool. This is not a minimalist gram-counter's tool. It's the one you carry when you'd rather have the 8mm hex and the chain tool with you than discover halfway up a fire road that you left both at home. The construction is straightforward and it's the reason these things last. Tool bits are high-tensile 6150 steel, held between two 6061-T6 aluminum side plates with knurled grips that give you something to hold onto with gloves on or wet hands. Under load, that matters more than it sounds. A multi-tool that squirms in your palm when you're trying to snug a stem bolt on the side of the trail is a multi-tool you stop trusting. The side plates are rounded rather than squared off, so extended torquing doesn't chew up your hand the way some folding tools do.

The bit selection covers the realistic failure list. Hex wrenches run 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8mm, which handles everything from derailleur limit screws to crank bolts. Torx T10 and T25 cover disc rotor bolts and most modern cockpit hardware. Screwdrivers include Phillips #1 and #2 plus a #2 flat.
