The Stamp 1 Gen 2 from Crank Brothers changes that equation by borrowing the platform shape and internal components from the aluminum Stamp 7, then wrapping them in a nylon body that costs less and weighs less. The concave body eliminates the center bulge that plagued the original Stamp 1, creating consistent pin contact across the entire platform.

The 114mm x 111mm platform provides size-specific contact for larger feet, with a profile that measures 13.5mm at the center and 15.5mm at the outer edges. Ten one-piece pins thread completely through the composite body from side to side, each pin measuring 23mm on the inner positions and 25mm on the outer positions. The through-body design means you can access damaged pins from either side using a 2.5mm hex key, and the thicker pin diameter resists bending under rock strikes.

The spindle and bearing design comes directly from the Stamp 7.
