Description

Converting a 3-pawl hub to a ratchet engagement system used to mean replacing the entire hub. The Ratchet LN Freehub Body from DT Swiss changes that calculation by offering a freehub-only upgrade path for 360 and 370 series hubs. The aluminum body uses sealed bearing construction and includes the end cap needed for installation. This brings DT Swiss's entry-level ratchet system to hubs originally built with pawl engagement.

The Ratchet LN system uses the same internal ratchet components as the standard Ratchet System but places the freehub seal on the body itself rather than the hub shell. This design difference makes the conversion possible for pawl-driven hubs that lack shell-mounted seals. The sealed bearing protects against contamination while the ratchet engagement delivers consistent engagement angles. You get simultaneous tooth contact across the entire engagement surface rather than the sequential pawl catch of traditional systems.

Available configurations cover Shimano HG 11-speed, SRAM XDR, Shimano Micro Spline, and other cassette standards. The bodies work with 12mm thru-axle hubs in 142mm and 148mm spacing depending on variant. Each body is specific to its cassette type and axle standard, so match your hub specification when ordering. The ratchet rings inside use either 18-tooth or 36-tooth counts depending on which engagement angle you want.... Read More
