The SES 4.5 Pro Rear Wheel runs a 55mm rim depth designed specifically to recapture airflow passing from the rider and frame, maximizing drag reduction where it matters most in the system. This deeper rear profile works in concert with the shallower 49mm front, following ENVE's long-standing approach of optimizing each wheel position for its specific aerodynamic role.

The weight reduction came from multiple construction changes working together. Thinner sidewalls, a refined channel profile, and material removed from beneath the Wide Hookless Bead feature all contribute to the savings while preserving structural integrity and tubeless performance. A small hook profile emerges from this modified bead design, maintaining the precise ETRTO dimensions required for reliable tire retention and the impact protection that prevents pinch flats during hard hits. The 23.5mm internal width supports 27-28mm tubeless tires, with the aerodynamic profile optimized around 28mm rubber at pressures up to 100 psi.

The INNERDRIVE Pro rear hub weighs 194 grams complete with the drive mechanism, putting the total hubset at 281 grams for the pair. Pro Ceramic bearings reduce rotational friction through custom specifications developed with a leading bearing manufacturer, controlling variables from seal design and ball bearing quality to grease content and viscosity.
