Description

The UCI's maximum rim-depth rule took effect in January 2026, and the outgoing SES 6.7 missed the cut by a single millimeter at the rear. Rather than sand down an existing mold, ENVE drew a clean sheet. The SES 6.7 Pro Front Wheel is what came out of it: a 59mm rim shaped alongside aerodynamicist Simon Smart, whose involvement with SES profiles dates to 2009, and built around the 28mm tire that the WorldTour peloton now races. In ENVE's own tunnel testing, the new shape recorded less drag than the 60mm rim it replaces.

Width carries the rest of the aerodynamic argument. Internal width measures 22.5mm, narrower than the 23mm of the previous generation and narrower than much of the current market, while the external width reaches 30.5mm. A 28mm tire on that profile keeps airflow attached across the sidewall instead of tripping over a step where rubber meets carbon. ENVE's data shows drag climbing once measured tire width pushes past roughly 29mm, which explains why the platform stops where it does rather than chasing the wider-is-faster trend.

The rim bed is hooked, a departure from the hookless beads used across much of the SES range. That raises the pressure ceiling to 100 psi and removes most of the tire-compatibility guesswork that follows hookless road rims. Tires still need tubeless-compatible construction, whether you run sealant or a tube inside. Hub spacing is 12x100mm thru-axle with a Center Lock rotor interface, and lockrings are not supplied....
