Description
Compound flared drops change how a handlebar behaves when the road gets rough or the descent gets steep. The SES AR In-Route Handlebar from ENVE uses 23.5mm of outward flare at the drops to widen your stance by nearly 5cm compared to the hoods, giving you a more stable platform for technical sections and fast descents without forcing you into a wider position during normal riding. The flare design pulls from ENVE's G Series gravel bar and their original Compact Road bar, combining the best elements of both into a road-focused shape.
The bar tops use an aerodynamic cross-section that ENVE developed through computational fluid dynamics modeling and validated in wind tunnel testing. That aero shaping works alongside the IN-Route internal cable routing to create clean airflow across the front end while eliminating the visual clutter of exposed cables and housing. The routing channels run through the bar and exit into the stem, keeping everything hidden until it drops into the frame. You'll need the IN-Route Aero Road Stem to make this work since the internal routing system requires a compatible stem interface.
Carbon layup determines how a handlebar feels in your hands, and ENVE tuned this laminate schedule for a balance between responsive handling and vibration damping. The bar stays stiff enough to deliver precise steering input during sprints and hard cornering, but the layup absorbs enough high-frequency road chatter to keep your hands comfortable over long rides.
