Each rib creates a raised contact point that compresses under grip pressure, which increases the surface area between your hand and the grip while adding another layer of vibration absorption. The 32mm diameter matches the standard Chunky, so if you're already running that model and want more grip and shock absorption without going larger, the ribbed version delivers those benefits at the same size. The silicone construction still eliminates the need for lock-on clamps. You install these grips by sliding them onto your bars using rubbing alcohol as lubricant, and they stay put through friction once the alcohol evaporates.
