Description

Long-distance triathlon means hours locked into an aggressive aero position, and the saddle is where that position either works or falls apart. Fizik built the Transiro Aeris Long Distance R1 Adaptive around that exact problem, using 3D-printed Adaptive padding and a wider nose to keep you supported and stable when you are pushing forward on the aerobars for a full Ironman-distance bike leg. If you have been riding a traditional tri saddle and struggling with soft-tissue pressure over long efforts, this is the shape and construction meant to solve it.

The Adaptive padding is what sets this saddle apart from foam-and-cover construction.

It is 3D-printed by Carbon using Digital Light Synthesis, which produces a zonal lattice structure that firms up or softens across different regions of the saddle rather than relying on uniform foam. That lattice lets Fizik build in a channel instead of a traditional cutout, with a soft central functional zone that spreads weight and relieves pressure through the middle of the saddle. The surface also carries a no-slip grip so you stay planted in the position instead of sliding around during hard efforts.

Geometry is dialed specifically for the long-course crowd. The Long Distance version runs a 55mm nose width, wider than a standard road saddle, so you get more support and balance under the pelvis when you rotate forward into the aero tuck. A long, deep central channel runs the length of the saddle for pressure relief, and the overall shape holds you in place through the miles rather than making you constantly reposition.
