Description
Magnet-free design simplifies cadence tracking across multiple bikes. The Garmin Cadence Sensor 2 mounts directly to your crank arm with rubber bands, measuring pedal strokes per minute without exposed parts to align or fiddly spoke magnets to install. Two bands wrap around any crank arm size, and the sensor stays put through rough terrain without additional hardware.
Dual wireless protocols expand compatibility beyond Garmin's ecosystem. ANT+ pairs with Edge computers and most cycling head units, while Bluetooth Low Energy connects to smartphones running training apps like Zwift, TrainerRoad, or Wahoo. The sensor broadcasts to unlimited ANT+ devices simultaneously and pairs with up to two Bluetooth devices, which covers indoor trainer sessions where you might run both a head unit and a phone app.
User-replaceable CR2032 battery runs approximately 12 months at one hour of daily use. The LED indicator flashes red after two crank revolutions when battery voltage drops, giving advance warning before the sensor stops transmitting. Battery replacement takes under a minute using the twist-lock cover on the back of the unit, with no tools required and an O-ring gasket that maintains weather resistance.... Read More
