Description
Shift cables fray quickly once the strands start separating, and those loose wire ends have a habit of poking fingers during adjustments. Jagwire's 1.2mm cable end crimps cap off freshly cut derailleur cables to keep everything contained. The alloy construction holds up through cable swaps and barrel adjuster tweaks without cracking the way some crimps do after repeated handling.
The 1.2mm inner diameter matches standard shift cable thickness used by Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo systems. You slide the crimp over the cable tail after threading and tensioning, position it close to the pinch bolt, and squeeze with cable cutters or a crimping tool. The polished alloy body features a hexagonal profile that gives your tool flat surfaces to grip during crimping. A small shoulder at the opening catches against the cable strands and prevents the crimp from sliding too far up before you apply pressure.
A 10-pack keeps your parts drawer stocked for multiple cable replacements. The silver finish matches stainless and galvanized cables without standing out against the derailleur body.
