The polishing process smooths the cable surface at the strand level, eliminating the need for polymer coatings that eventually flake off and contaminate housing. Combined with the Slick-Lube liner inside the LEX-SL housing, the system maintains consistent cable movement over thousands of shifts without the gradual degradation that plagues coated cable setups.

The LEX-SL housing uses linear steel strands instead of coiled construction, which makes it roughly 20 percent lighter than traditional shift housing while maintaining the compressionless performance that precise shifting demands. The housing roll measures 3200mm, enough to handle large frames and full-length housing runs without piecing sections together. Cable lengths run 2300mm for the front derailleur and 2800mm for the rear, covering everything from compact road frames to large mountain bikes.

Each kit includes all the finishing hardware for a complete installation on road or mountain drivetrains.
