Description
K-Edge designs their Garmin mounts with a co-polymer plastic insert that interfaces with your computer's quarter-turn tabs. This insert is intentionally the weakest link in the system. When you crash, the plastic breaks instead of the aluminum mount body or the tabs on your Garmin. That's the design working as intended. This replacement kit gets you back on the road without buying a complete new mount.
The kit includes one co-polymer insert and two M3 stainless steel mounting screws with pre-applied thread locker. Installation takes a few minutes: remove the two screws holding the damaged insert, pull it out, drop the new one in place, and secure it with the included hardware. The insert snaps into the same position and delivers the same positive click and four-point engagement that K-Edge mounts are known for. Once installed, your computer locks in with the same confidence as the day you bought the mount.
This insert fits K-Edge Garmin mounts that use the quarter-turn interface, including the Sport, Race, Pro, Max, and TT mount families. It does not fit standard Garmin OEM mounts or mounts from other manufacturers. The quarter-turn design matches Garmin Edge computers that twist to lock, not the older slide-on style. If your mount has worn from years of daily use and the computer no longer clicks securely into place, a fresh insert restores that tight fit without the wobble that develops over time.... Read More
