Description

The LOOK Keo Blade Dual pedals integrate strain gauges into both pedal bodies to measure power output from each leg independently. The carbon composite body houses the power measurement electronics while maintaining the structural requirements for pedaling forces. A chromoly axle runs on stainless steel and ceramic bearing systems that reduce friction and extend service intervals. The Blade platform uses a spring-less retention mechanism where cleat engagement comes from a carbon leaf spring built into the pedal body rather than a traditional coil spring.

The dual-sided power measurement captures data from both legs, providing left-right balance metrics in addition to total power output. Each pedal contains its own strain gauge system and transmits data independently via ANT+ and Bluetooth protocols. The pedals communicate with cycling computers, watches, and training software that support these wireless standards. Power accuracy is rated at plus or minus two percent, and the system samples at a high frequency to capture pedal stroke dynamics throughout the rotation.

These pedals use the three-bolt Keo cleat system with adjustable float from zero to nine degrees depending on which cleats you install. The pedals ship with grey Keo cleats that provide 4.5 degrees of float, which LOOK includes as the standard cleat with all their pedals. You can swap to red cleats for zero degrees of float or black cleats for nine degrees depending on your preference. The Blade retention mechanism eliminates the tension adjustment found on other Keo pedals—engagement force is fixed by the carbon leaf spring design. This approach reduces the number of moving parts that can wear or require maintenance. The carbon body includes an integrated stainless steel cleat contact plate that interfaces with the cleat during engagement and release cycles.... Read More
