Entry-level clipless pedals have to walk a line between forgiving engagement and long-term durability, and the LOOK Keo Classic 3 has been LOOK's answer to that brief for years. The pedal pairs an injected composite body with a chromoly steel axle running on one ball bearing and one needle bearing cartridge, which is the same bearing architecture LOOK uses higher up the Keo line. You get a large, wide contact surface for stable pedaling, adjustable release tension, and the same three-bolt Keo cleat interface used across every road pedal LOOK makes.

The 400mm² contact patch and 60mm platform width give your shoe a stable base to push against, which matters most when you're still learning to clip in and out and your foot placement isn't perfectly consistent yet. Release tension adjusts from 8 to 12 via a spring screw on the back of the pedal, so you can dial it soft while you're learning and tighten it up once your entries and exits are second nature. Stack height sits at 17.8mm including the cleat, and the spindle-to-crankarm distance is 53mm, which keeps your foot in a natural position without needing extended axles.

The pedals ship with grey Keo Grip cleats that provide 4.5 degrees of float, which LOOK includes as the standard cleat with all their pedals.
