X-One G Ti Pedals
Color: Black
Description
Gravel racing exposed a gap between road pedals and mountain systems, and LOOK closed it with the X-One-G Ti by borrowing the efficiency of a road platform and pairing it with off-road cleats. This is a single-sided, SPD-compatible pedal built around a machined aluminum body and a titanium spindle, aimed at riders who want fast engagement and a wide contact surface without the weight of a dual-sided mountain pedal.
The one-sided layout is the whole idea here. Dropping the second binding sheds weight and lets LOOK shape a broader platform around the mechanism, and the open center clears mud and grit as you clip in rather than packing debris around the retention. With 650mm² of contact area across a 67mm-wide platform, the surface is shaped to match shoe lugs so pedaling force spreads across more of the sole instead of loading up through the cleat alone.
Because these run the SPD standard, they work with the X-Track cleats included in the box and with standard Shimano SPD cleats, so most gravel and mountain shoes bolt straight up without new hardware. The cleat interface gives 6° of float and a 13° release angle, and retention is adjustable across a 5 to 10 range so you can dial clip-out effort from an easy bail-out setting up to a firmer hold for hard efforts. The 53mm Q-factor sits on the narrow side of off-road pedals, closer to a road stance than a typical XC platform.
The titanium spindle is where the price sits relative to the chromoly-axle X-One-G Max in the range, trimming grams at the rotating mass while keeping the fatigue resistance repeated impacts demand. Stack height comes in at 10.7mm for the pedal, or roughly 16mm with the cleat, keeping your foot close to the axle. The bearing setup uses cartridge bearings paired with a plain bearing and seals to keep dust and grit out of the rotation path. At 240 grams per pair, the X-One-G Ti lands among the lighter clipless options in the category.
