Description

Enduro pedals catch more abuse than almost anything else on the bike — rock strikes, root drags, and the occasional dab into the sharp edge of a ledge. LOOK built the X-Track En-Rage Plus around a forged aluminum body specifically to shrug that off, with a 67mm-wide platform and 664mm² of contact area that gives your shoe something substantial to push against when the trail gets rough. Two adjustable pins at the front of the cage add a bit of grip when you're unclipped, which is where a pedal like this earns its keep versus a lighter XC option.

The engagement mechanism will look familiar — LOOK didn't try to reinvent the wheel here, and the X-Track cleat is cross-compatible with Shimano SPD, so you can run whichever cleat you already have in your shoes without swapping hardware. Retention tension is adjustable from 6 to 14 via a 3mm hex on the back of the pedal body, and the release angle sits at 13 degrees with 6 degrees of float. If you've been running SPDs and wished for a firmer, more definitive release feel under load, this is where the En-Rage Plus differentiates itself — the mechanism builds tension before it lets go, which reads as more positive and less likely to accidentally unclip on a hard pedal stroke.

Underneath the forged body sits a Chromoly+ spindle, which is the right choice for this category — steel handles impact loads better than titanium when you're pedaling through rocks. Stack height comes in at 16.8mm including the cleat, and the pedal profile is on the taller side at around 21mm, so if you're running a low bottom bracket trail bike you'll want to keep that in mind for pedal strikes. Serviceable via a plastic endcap that gives access to the axle for tension adjustments and bearing overhauls down the road.
