LOOK's X-Track Race Carbon addresses that trade-off with a carbon composite body wrapped around a chromoly spindle, landing at a claimed 175 grams per pedal without giving up meaningful contact area. The 515mm² platform is shaped around the zones that actually transfer power, which is how LOOK gets the weight down without leaving your foot unsupported.

The pedal keeps a 60mm-wide body and a 53mm Q-factor, so your stance width stays close to the crankarm and your feet sit in a natural pedaling position. Stack height measures 16.8mm with the cleat installed (10.7mm pedal plus 6.1mm cleat), which is competitive with the XC pedals it's cross-shopped against.
