LOOK's X-Track Race Carbon Ti attacks both sides of that equation with a carbon body wrapped around a titanium spindle, landing at 145 grams per pedal with a 515mm² contact area. That's where the price difference lands compared to the alloy-bodied, chromoly-spindle versions further down the X-Track lineup — the titanium axle and carbon body are what shed the grams without giving up platform.

The mechanism uses the SPD-standard cleat interface, so you're not locked into a proprietary shoe or cleat ecosystem — any SPD-compatible mountain shoe drops in, and the pedals ship with LOOK's own X-Track cleats. Float sits at 6 degrees with a 13-degree release angle, and retention tension adjusts from 6 to 14 to let you dial engagement feel for XC racing versus general trail riding.
