Description
Multi-tools live in your saddlebag until something goes wrong, which means the one you carry needs to handle whatever comes up mid-ride without taking up half your storage space. The Park Tool IB-3C I-Beam Multi-Tool packs thirteen functions into a design that stays flat in your pocket or bag, using a central I-beam spine that keeps tools accessible from both sides without the bulk of a traditional folding design.
The hex selection covers what you'll actually encounter on modern bikes: 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8mm sizes handle stem bolts, brake caliper mounts, derailleur limit screws, and bottle cage bolts. A T25 Torx fits the disc rotor bolts that have become standard across the industry. Phillips and flathead screwdrivers deal with older components and the occasional limit screw adjustment. The chain tool works with 7 through 12-speed chains when you need to break a link trailside, and a 15-gauge spoke wrench handles the most common nipple size if you need to true a wheel enough to clear the brake.
Park Tool designed the I-beam shape specifically for hand ergonomics during actual use. The flat profile distributes pressure across your palm instead of concentrating it on a single pivot point, which matters when you're torquing a stubborn bolt with cold hands. Forged tool bits maintain their shape under load rather than rounding out after a few uses.... Read More
