Description
Torque wrenches prevent expensive mistakes. Over-tighten a carbon seatpost clamp and you're looking at a cracked frame. Under-tighten a stem faceplate and your handlebars slip mid-ride. The Park Tool TW-6.2 covers the critical range where most bicycle fasteners live: 10 to 60 Newton meters. That's everything from stem bolts and seatpost clamps up through crank arm pinch bolts and cassette lockrings.
The ratcheting click-type mechanism delivers both tactile and audible feedback when you hit your target torque. You feel the click through the handle and hear it simultaneously, which matters when you're working in a noisy shop or wearing gloves. The 3/8" drive accepts standard sockets, and Park Tool includes a hex bit driver so you can use any 1/4" hex or Torx bits you already own. The reversible ratcheting head works in both directions, though torque measurement only applies when tightening.
Calibration accuracy sits at plus or minus 4% of the indicated value, which meets ISO 6789 standards for hand torque tools. The adjustment dial at the handle base locks into place to prevent accidental setting changes while you're working. Park Tool recommends storing the wrench at its lowest setting when not in use to preserve spring tension and calibration accuracy over time.... Read More
