Description
Torque wrenches prevent expensive mistakes. Over-tighten a carbon seatpost clamp and you're looking at a cracked frame. Under-tighten a stem faceplate and your handlebars slip mid-ride. The Park Tool TW-6.2 covers the critical range where most bicycle fasteners live: 10 to 60 Nm. That's everything from stem bolts and seatpost clamps up through crankarm pinch bolts and cassette lockrings.
The ratcheting click-type mechanism delivers both tactile and audible feedback when you hit your target torque. You feel the click through the handle and hear it simultaneously, which matters when you're working in a noisy environment or wearing gloves. The 3/8" drive accepts standard sockets, and it's compatible with all Park Tool sockets, bits, and crow feet. The reversible ratcheting head works in both directions, and the wrench reads and registers torque values for both left-hand and right-hand threading.
Calibration accuracy sits at plus or minus 4% of the indicated value. The spring-loaded sleeve on the handle lets you pull back, rotate to your target Nm value, and release to lock the setting in place. Dial in your target in 0.25 Nm increments, and a clear window in the handle shows the current Nm setting. Store the wrench at its lowest setting when not in use to preserve spring tension and calibration accuracy over time.... Read More
