Description

Torx fasteners appear throughout modern bicycles—brake rotor bolts, caliper mounts, derailleur hardware, and increasingly on cockpit components where manufacturers want more engagement surface than hex keys provide. Park Tool's TWS-1 set covers the seven sizes you'll encounter most often: T7, T9, T10, T15, T20, T25, and T30. That range spans everything from the tiny T7 bolts on some electronic shifting components up through the T30 fasteners found on certain crank arm pinch bolts and suspension pivots.

The L-shaped design follows the same logic as traditional hex wrenches—short end for access in tight spaces, long end for leverage when you need torque. Each wrench uses a standard ball-end configuration on the long arm, allowing up to 25 degrees of approach angle when clearance is limited. The short arm uses a straight-cut profile for maximum engagement when breaking stubborn fasteners loose. Chrome vanadium steel construction handles the torque loads these fasteners require without rounding or twisting.

Size markings are stamped directly into each wrench near the bend, so identification doesn't depend on paint or labels that wear off over time. The set ships in a plastic holder that keeps the wrenches organized by size and fits in a toolbox drawer without the pieces scattering. Each wrench slots into its own position, making it obvious at a glance which size is missing when you're hunting for a tool on the workbench.... Read More
