Description

Hex bolts hold together nearly every adjustable component on a modern bicycle, from stem clamps and seatpost binders to derailleur limit screws and rotor mounts. The Pedro's L Hex Wrench Set covers the full metric range you'll encounter with 9 sizes from 1.5mm up to 10mm, giving you the right tool for everything from tiny grub screws to crankarm bolts. The set lives in a plastic holder that keeps the wrenches organized and visible so you're not digging through a drawer trying to find the 4mm when you need it.

Pedro's manufactures these wrenches from SNCM-V alloy steel that's been heat-treated for hardness and durability. The material resists rounding at the hex corners even after repeated use on stubborn fasteners, which is where cheaper wrenches tend to fail. Soft steel deforms under torque and eventually won't grip the bolt head properly, forcing you to either replace the wrench or deal with a rounded-out bolt that becomes a much bigger problem. The heat treatment on these wrenches addresses that failure mode directly, producing steel that Pedro's rates at 15% harder than typical hex wrenches. That hardness translates to a set that holds up through years of regular use without degrading at the contact surfaces.

The L-shape design gives you two leverage options depending on the situation. Use the short end for bolts in tight spaces where swing clearance is limited, or flip to the long end when you need more torque on a seized fastener or when the bolt sits in a deep recess. The round-style end on the long arm lets you approach bolts at a slight angle rather than requiring perfect perpendicular alignment, which helps when frame geometry or component placement puts the bolt head somewhere awkward. Extra length on both arms compared to basic hex sets means you're not fighting for every degree of rotation when space gets tight around bottom brackets, brake calipers, or internally routed cable ports....
