Description
Toray's M40X carbon fiber represents a decade of layup refinement distilled into a single material designation. Pinarello tested this fiber extensively on their X-Light program bikes and with the INEOS Grenadiers squad before committing it to the 2025 Dogma F, where its exceptional tensile modulus translates directly into lateral stiffness gains without the weight penalty typically associated with increased rigidity. The result is a frame that transfers power more efficiently through the bottom bracket while maintaining the compliant ride quality that defines the Dogma lineage.
Every tube profile on the 2025 Dogma F emerged from computational fluid dynamics analysis and wind tunnel validation aimed at a specific target: reducing the coefficient of aerodynamic drag by 0.2 percent. That figure may sound modest until you calculate what it represents over a three-week Grand Tour stage race—the equivalent of removing 175 grams from the bike. The redesigned down tube sits thinner in frontal profile, while a 3.5-degree rotation creates a keel shape at the bottom bracket junction that improves airflow through that turbulent zone by 1.2 percent. Pinarello's signature head tube nose, first introduced on the Dogma F8 in 2014, narrows by 8mm in this generation, requiring an entirely new elliptical steerer tube and headset with differentiated bearing diameters to achieve the slimmer frontal area.
The Onda fork receives a complete redesign with slimmer blade profiles developed through direct feedback from professional riders. A 47mm rake improves handling response during descents while the fork flap continues to shroud the front brake caliper for cleaner aerodynamics. Shorter thru-axles now integrate directly into the carbon structure, eliminating external bolt heads on both the fork and rear dropout. The rear derailleur hanger follows the same integration philosophy, reducing visual clutter while marginally improving airflow around the rear triangle.... Read More
