The rim uses Reynolds' CR3 carbon layup, shared across the AR line. The external width reaches 31mm at the widest point before tapering back, with a sweet spot around 28mm tires that carries into wider gravel casings for mixed-surface riding.

The AR series puts the same rim into a lower-priced build than the Blacklabel line, with the savings coming from hub and spoke specification rather than the rim itself. Reynolds/Ringle SRX Road DB hubs handle rotational duties with a 3-pawl freehub offering 10° of engagement.
