Ritchey's Break-Away Quick Disconnect Derailleur Pair splits each shift cable into two pieces with a threaded alloy coupler, so you separate the frame at the couplers, pop the cables apart, and the bike collapses into its case without re-routing or re-tensioning anything on the other end.

The pair includes two disconnectors — one for the front derailleur run, one for the rear — and they're derailleur-specific. These are not brake cable disconnectors and they're not made for hydraulic lines or electronic wires. If you're running Di2, AXS, or EPS, you don't need these; your shift signal already crosses the coupler without a mechanical break. These are purpose-built for traditional 1.1mm or 1.2mm stainless shift cable with a standard head.

Installation uses two cables per side rather than one cut cable.
