Classic Flat 10D MTB Handlebar
Description
Flat bars in a polished silver finish are getting harder to find, and Ritchey has kept the Classic Flat 10D in the lineup for the riders building retro mountain bikes, rigid singlespeeds, and townies that deserve something better than a black anodized cattle prod. The bar carries a 10-degree backsweep with Ritchey's double-bend shape, so your wrists sit in a natural position without pulling your hands back and shortening the reach compared to a straighter bar.
Construction is double-butted 6061 aluminum, which puts more material at the clamp area and the grip zone while thinning the wall between them. That's how you get a usable weight out of an alloy flat bar without giving up strength where it matters. The high-polish silver finish is the visual hook — it pairs well with silver stems, silver cranks, and the kind of build where every part gets chosen on purpose.
Two width options cover most use cases. The 660mm width suits classic XC builds, urban bikes, and anyone rebuilding a vintage frame to its original proportions. The 780mm width lands squarely in modern trail territory and can be cut down if you want something in between. Clamp diameter is the current 31.8mm standard, so it works with any modern stem, and the bar ends are open for grip plugs or bar-end extensions if you're going full retro.
