Classic Flat MTB Handlebar
Color: Polished Silver
Size: 5D-560mm
Description
Flat bars strip the cockpit down to its essentials — no rise, no exaggerated sweep, just a direct line from grip to stem that suits classic hardtails, urban builds, and drop-bar conversions where you want a simple, upright position. Ritchey's Classic Flat Handlebar delivers that clean geometry in a polished silver finish that ties together retro steel builds and modern minimalist cockpits where anodized black would feel out of place.
The bar is made from 6061 alloy with 5 degrees of sweep , using double-butted construction that concentrates material at the stem clamp and grip zones where stress lives, and thins it out through the middle where it isn't needed. That butting profile is how Ritchey keeps the 560mm high-polish silver version down to 202 grams without giving up the stiffness a flat bar needs to translate steering input directly to the front wheel.
The 5-degree backsweep is subtle enough to feel neutral in a wrist-neutral position without pulling your hands rearward the way a 10-degree bar does, which keeps reach numbers predictable if you're spec'ing a stem to match. At 560mm wide, it's narrower than modern trail bar norms, which is the point — this width suits cross-country builds, gravel bikes converted from drops, singlespeeds, and townies where tight commuter clearances or a classic aesthetic matter more than the leverage of a wide bar....
